Katie received her Bachelor of Human Kinetics in 2015 from the University of British Columbia. After the completion of her degree, she went to Mount Royal University and got her Advanced Certificate in Athletic Therapy in 2016. In 2017 she successfully completed the Canadian National Certification Exam.
Katie is extremely active in the sports world and grew up participating in gymnastics. She has been heavily involved in the athletic community in Calgary, providing support for several youth teams including rugby, hockey, basketball and soccer. She has been a part of teams at the varsity, provincial and national levels.
While Katie enjoys treating sports related injuries, she believes it’s vital that education goes along with treatment. She feels understanding your injury and the best way to treat it, and will help in the long-term recovery process for her patients. Not only does Katie enjoy teaching her clientele, she strives to continue learning to become better at her craft.
